When do Torneau stores become Bucherer?
Anybody have any insight when Torneau stores become Bucherer? I'm only really interested because I want to go into a Bucherer and reserve or purchase a Black Bay Blue Bronze in the U.S. I had zero luck trying to get it in Europe.

Okay so the following comments are based on absolutely nothing but my own personal thoughts and sentiments...
The acquisition of Tourneau by Bucherer is so new, and it will take some time to execute the plan of renaming all of the stores, if that is even the plan, or if that has even been decided upon yet. Maybe only some stores in key markets will be renamed. Maybe all stores will be named something like "Tourneau by Bucherer", and offerings will be slightly different (tailored to US marketing plans). There are so many things to be considered. For example, my local Tourneau sits right next to an Omega Boutique, and therefore this particular store does not carry Omega. One could only imagine how many instances there are of this throughout the US with other brands meaning there will still be so many kinks to work out aside from just "renaming stores". Bottom line is that the dust needs to settle on this acquisition before major changes are made, and this will take some time, probably in my mind more time than on the clock left for the production and availability of the Black Bay Bronze Blue Special edition. I would be thrilled if we saw these watches for sale in the US, but I doubt we ever will. |
