Another GMT discontinued?

So is it true? Not only is the BLRO rumoured as being dropped, now it sounds like they’ve dropped the LN as well?

Sounds like a the GMT line could potentially be up for a complete overhaul...

I bet there's a new SS Pepsi GMT at Basel this year... New case, new GMT mechanism, new movement.

I'm in love with the TT GMTc, so high on my wish list is a rose gold version.

Wow, that would be a surprise since I thought the LN was a decent seller (I have one). Change is in the air at Rolex! Should be an interesting Baselworld. Cheers!

I picked up a BLNR at my AD today in Pennsylvania, and they removed all sticker. They said it was the new policy from Rolex. I’d be surprised if they discontinue the 116710LN. If anything they’ll release a new GMT in PM and then the change will trickle down to the lowly SS models ;)

Well, if it is true, this is going to be an exciting Baselworld, for sure!

If Rolex are launching a new GMT case, it would make sense to discontinue the current LN, you wouldn’t want mixed cases in the lineup. Even if it’s just a movement update, that would be a new product, new SKU and model number.
I’d very much doubt there would be no all black bezel GMT of some sort, post Basel.

FWIW and I am the OP on one of the BLRO being discontinued thread, none of my contacts have heard of the LN being discontinued. They have all heard of BLRO being discontinued. Doesn't mean its not happening but is odd that 3 different AD's can confirm BLRO and none of the 3 have heard mention of the LN.

How about the BLNR being discontinued? Has that rumor started yet or can I officially start one too. You guys heard it, take it with a grain of salt.

Not sure about that Danny. Maybe, but with the EXPII 42mm being such a slow seller I am not sure Rolex will risk making the GMT larger. One thing for sure, we will know soon. Bring on Basel world! I can't wait

But they’ll keep the BLNR with current configuration?

Better buy up those LNs. Everyone knows one Rolex stops making something it spikes in value.

God, I hope they are doing away with these maxi cases. Bring back the bevels and the clean, classic proportions of the 4 and 5 digit cases.

I’d say very unlikely! They always had a black bezel
When they had the coke and Pepsi they still had the black so I highly doubt it will be discontinued unless they’re upgrading the movement which would be only movement upgrade on it. What I’m hoping for is a ss Pepsi or even Coke

GMT and Sub cases will stay the same size but the lugs will be thinned out and lug width will increase by 1mm from 20mm to 21mm. The Sub will get the 3235 movement and 3286 for the GMT.

Or not...

If it is a movement update I could see them offering the black bezel GMT with the new movements to have a red GMT hand and white text on the dial instead of the green GMT hand with green text. That would be an easy identification between the 3186 and 32xx movements.

One-off rumor, no substantiation. If there are more reports, there might be something to it.

Also, can someone tell me, is "LN" common parlance for the SS GMT with the black bezel? The two YG models and the TT also have the LN designation.
