Anyone seeing TapaTalk posting errors?

Just starting getting error messages tonight and wondered if others are seeing them?

I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled TapaTalk and reset my iPhone but it persists.

Two types come back after replying to a thread.

And sometimes this one.

Thanks in advance for sharing if you did get these.

Never seen this issue. I'll keep an eye out.

I’ve been getting these for a while. I’ve uninstalled and it still happens. It comes and goes. I’ve noticed the posts do go through. It’s just a weird error message. I’ve probably been getting them for months.

Common thread so far, you both have iPhones. Wonder if it's happening for Android users? Sometimes when I get problems with apps, I like to check the respective app store. You'll sometimes see reviews posted for a certain issue. Also, in the google play store you can filter just the reviews that are from users with your exact device model. Is that a capability on the Apple devices too?

Tapatalk has pretty good customer support. I’ve been meaning to email them. But since the posts go through I haven’t really bothered.

Good points.
Been using TapaTalk for years with no issues. But I did just update to iOS 11.2.5 to manage the new HomePod I got yesterday. Could be a glitch limited to that update.

Might explain why not all will get the messages even from their iPhone.

Will try from an iPad on older iOS.

Anyone seeing TapaTalk posting errors?

Thanks for the replies all. I’m now sending from an iPad running game iOS 11.2.4 just to check if I get an error. Post #6 from the iPhone returned same error.

Edit: No error message from the iPad after I sent the above

I had opened a ticket with TapaTalk but no answer yet. I also noticed an anomaly - it involves notifications.

Sometimes the notification comes with the correct TRF username - for example, when a new post is made in a thread to which I’ve subscribed. But other times, the same user’s post notification is labeled with their TapaTalk ID.

Sorry to get in the weeds - just sharing if any of you who experienced the same error messages have also noticed that.

Anyone seeing TapaTalk posting errors?

Adding another tidbit I noticed in my own TapaTalk profile. See below

------Device------
Device ID: (redacted)
Model: iPhone10,6
iOS Version: iOS 11.2.5
App Version: Tapatalk 7.1.5
Build version: 1967
TT ID: 1196497
TT UserName: 77T
TT LoginType: normal
TT Status: 1

(PS: I redacted my Device ID for obvious reasons)

Notice the “Model: iPhone10,6” line?

Well that shouldn’t be there because I only have an iPhoneX (iPhone10). But in a burglary my old iPhone6 was stolen along with several laptops/computers. The iPhone6 was logged into my iTunes, iCloud and AppleID accounts.

However, upon the theft I sent out an erase command via Find My iPhone for all the stolen devices. That request has yet to be triggered for the iPhone6 - the thief is in jail but he sold off all my devices.

The theft happened in December, 2017 - I have seen a device here and there resurface on the internet and it was immediately erased. But not that iPhone6.

So I have removed it from my AppleID - thereby giving up the chance to erase it - to see how this might help. Perhaps the person who bought that stolen iPhone6 had found a way to circumvent Find My iPhone. But by now I’m sure it’s not going to leave any bread crumbs to the buyer(s) or fences.

Why all this detail?

Just in hopes this helps anyone who has chimed-in already, or is reading this, with the same problem. Apparently, two devices logged into TapaTalk with same device ID can trigger phantom dupe posts that don’t really happen on TRF.

Just wanted to update this thread with my recent experience.

I upgraded to Tapatalk Pro for S&Gs, and haven’t gotten a single error since.

Odd coincidence possibly, but I was getting them constantly and now not even one.

If you’re on here or check it a good amount, it’s worth the 2.99

Thanks for the input. I always had TapaTalk Pro but once I got that dual instance fixed, my problem disappeared.
