Wait list for 2018 SS Sub w/Date 116610LN

Just put down a deposit and am waiting on my Sub. The AD said it could be 3 weeks, could be 1 month, could be 4 months. Anyone else waiting or if you received one after waiting how long did it take? I live in Virginia FYI

It seems Rolex stopped shipping all SS Sport models for a few months........theyre starting to show up again so I'm sure it won't be long. I just got a call yesterday from my AD and the SD43 had arrived.

Good luck and enjoy!!!

My AD told me up 2 months for a DeepBlue SD. Took less then three weeks. I think they have no idea and give you a conservative time frame.

Just arrived from Grand Cayman and all the businesses had the Submariner but without a calendar. Even they made a 10% discount and of course no tax.

Why would you buy one from an AD when you can get one cheaper and quicker from one of our forum sponsored sellers? This makes no sense to me.

Bought my 116610LN on 02/11. The AD had 1 on display and another one still in the coffin box (which was the one that I bought). I was looking for the 126600 initially but they didn't have it so I got the SubC instead.

I ordered mine in August 2017, hope to have it by mid this year seems like the waiting list grows faster than they can supply.

Because some people want to make sure 100% nothing is wrong with the watch and new.

Just because you buy a watch from a trusted seller here doesn't mean it's cheaper.

I got my watches for lower prices than these resellers and I get it from AD

I wasn't aware that was possible right now. Every "unworn" 116610LN I've seen from a TS recently has been listed above MSRP.

Saw a new ceramic Sub ND just sitting in the display case at AD in FL. So they're shipping.

I have a feeling it shouldn't be terribly long. When I was shopping for my no-date Sub a month ago, my AD said they had a significant waiting line for the Submariner Date, and then they called me a week later to say they had a Submariner Date that I could have if I wanted it.

Some folks can’t stomach the idea wiring $$$$$ to some guy on the interwebs - regardless of feedback etc.

I tell non-WIS about how it works and their jaws just drop.

Sub dates are being sold for MSRP or higher for new or just under MSRP for pre-owned, and some people prefer buying from an AD even if it is a tad more expensive. I would say we who buy from TS are actually in the minority.

AD called me about a Sub Date and no date two weeks ago.

Pretty easy to get your hands on a Sub from an AD here in the states, however, across the ocean, I hear not so much.

Still obtainable, but I can’t recall the last time I saw a ss Sub in an ADs case here in the US. They used to be a staple of every AD.

I see the TS listing them for over MSRP. This isn't a tough to source watch... You call 5-10 ADs, you'll have it within a week, from an AD, at MSRP.

For the life of me, I can't figure out who would pay over MSRP in the USA for this watch.

UK are struggling from the ADs I’ve spoken to.

Large AD in a very large London shopping centre said they’ve not had one delivered since October and I’d be waiting two years. They seemed quite dismissive of me so maybe take that with a pinch of salt.

A smaller one I spoke to said on average they get 1-2 per month but could sell double figures a month based on current demand.

I'd bet any dollar amount, you have one (if not today), within a week. This is a Sub, not a Daytona, Sky-D, or even a Hulk - there is most certainly a dealer in Southern California with one or who will receive one shortly. Furthermore, their VIPs aren't on waitlists for Subs, they already have them.

This would make for a great experiment. I'd love to see what would happen if someone were to do this.

I bought one recently from Mayors. I put down 20% and I had it within two weeks max. They called me unexpectedly. All stickers in tact and in the original shipping coffin and I left with it as such as it left the factory. Dealers have the boxes on hand and they just give you one. The watch was in shipping coffin with the booklets etc. The warranty card is mailed to you within 30 days. This is mayors normal practice and they do it because of their 10 day return policy. They don't want to fill out a name on the card if the purchaser decides to bring it back. I've bought from them before and they always ship out the warranty card later filled out etc.

A good friend of mine got on an AD's list for a 116610LN 3 weeks ago and it still waiting for the call. They had a No Date version, but he wanted the Date. It will be interesting to see how long it takes. This is a fairly large AD.

Could be never if Rolex announces new submariner models @ Basel 18 in 3 weeks.

If a new Sub debuts this year, it will probably be in PM, and the current SS will remain in production until it is replaced, maybe in 2020.

Just take your deposit back or re-purpose it for the new one that comes out in a month.

Look at the OP’s post count - he probably doesn’t know about greys.

At lot of guys who only buy a fine watch every few years go with ADs because that’s the only Rolex source they know of.
