Two advisors we have a relationship with are in the top 10 in my home State. (One specializes in Convertable Bonds). However, according to Forbes both have dropped down a few spots from last year.. :).

I don't make enough money to need a wealth advisor. When they post the poor advisor list, please link that for me, though.

I work with/have worked with most of these advisors on the list from my state. Good guys and gals and mostly Merrill Lynch and Linsco folks.

I prefer Vanguard & Schwab.
Warren Buffett has proven that Hedge Fund mangers can't beat an index fund. Why spend more for less return. |

I work and talk to some of these managers every day. Pretty cool to see their names on the list.

I'd take this list with a grain of salt! It's simply a measure of assets under mgmt. just bc an advisor has a lot of assets doesn't mean they are a great advisor. I know a large majority of the guys on the La list. Some are the real deal and a couple are crooks. My mentor in the business was a genius and great with people. He never wanted more than 75 M under mgmt AND with that figure he'd have never seen the list BUT he never would have cared. Need to see tho......
