Hanging around this forum has made me appreciate my Rolexes a whole lot more, maybe too much. Below is my first Rolex, a SS midsize DJ that I received in 1990 from my Mother as a present when I graduated.

I never thought much of it except for sentimental value until I bought two new Rolexes this past year. Since then, and since I've been on this forum, I've grown to liking it a whole lot more. Now that I'm looking closer at it, I've noticed that the tritium over the 1 and 2 o'clock markers is off center.

Since I've had this watch, it's been serviced three times at an AD. I'm reasonably certain no one has touched the dial. Is this an acceptable level of asymmetry for a Rolex product? Does this change the value of the watch in any way like an imperfect quarter (not that I would ever sell it)?

Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill??

By the way WELCOME TO TRF!!! It looks ok carlos... thats the effect of this Forum hahahahah sometimes you stare at your watches to much and find something wrong.. From 1 sec delayed to 1 second advance..from a little brush on the crown to the bezel etc etc i can go on and on and on...hahahahah sometimes you just have to look for imperfection on the watch even if there nothing to look at...hahaha

Yes.

Don't worry about it it looks fine and if it really bugs you get a new dial at the next service.

I appreciate the input. I think it looks fine and at least I can say that there is something unique about the watch. Even if it was a manufacturing defect, I'm not going to change it.

I am curious though if anybody else has noticed "manufacturing imperfections" in their Rolexes.

I am a bit surprised that Rolex would let a "imperfect" dial out of the shop. Educate me...
