Was there ever a Plat DD with fluted bezel?

After looking at the new DDII, it got me wishing I could have a second hand Plat DD....but I love the fluted bezel. Was there ever this available from Rolex?

No, either polished or with diamonds only.

I just can't get to like the polished look. Diamonds are MUCH better on Platinum!

Fluted would probably look kind of strange, but it is so striking on Gold.

Hmmm never knew that...
Guess I will have to go with a WG DD as I want the fluted bezel
when I am able to get one...

Diamonds just don't do it for me for a watch I want to wear quite a bit

I wear mine everyday. Think of it as scratch repellent. It can't be done!

Yep, not a single one!

A little too much bling for me at this point in my life

That is one spectacular watch, but it is just not my lifestyle at the moment.
I do not care for the plain bezel on the Plat DD; I will just keep looking for that special one.
My wife however wears the plat dia dial/dia bezel....it is more her lifestyle than mine.

To the best of my knowledge, the FLUTED bezel is made only from WG, YG or RG - no other precious metal.

Platinum models have Platinum domed bezels.

Not in platinum, but yes in white gold. Here's my DD.
