I just wonder if the jubilee bracelet will handle tougher wearing condition, eq swimming in the sea or hiking, which may cause the watch contact with hard material. I'm asking this question because of the "fragile" looks of the jubilee bracelet. Thanks again.
The Jubilee is a tough bracelet and will handle the activities that you have described without difficulty. It's looks are refined but it is solid and dependable - particularly the new "Super Jubilee" bracelet which is now used on DJ's. The clasp is very secure and looks great with the Rolex crown on it.

The Jubilee used to be prone to stretch but I think this has now been eliminated or improved on the Super Jubilee.

It is also far less of a scratch magnet than the Oyster bracelet - particularly the ones with polished centre links.

the links in a jub bracelet are small so it is very fluid on your wrist. in my opinion they are the most comfortable watch bracelet ever made. they don't show scratches as much as a oyster because of this and are much easier to polish for the same reason, they are defiantly my favorite.

I'm 30+ myself and my one, when I find it, will be a 30+ year old DJ.

Life's too short to sweat the small stuff, chief. Wear what you like.

smaller diameter (38mm) Rolexes wear very comfortably. it's good to buck a trend (big oversized chunky chrono's) in favor of your own individual style.

i don't have a DJ but i rock a Rado DiaStar on occasion. :D

a Turn-o-graph has a rotatable, gold, fluted bezel. One can use it to time simple things like pasta, parking meters, phone calls, etc.

The Turn-o-graph has a rich Rolex history dating to the early-1950s. The Turn-o-graphs were precursors to the first Submariners.

Oh grow up!

I'm 35yo and I wear a DJ.

I've always felt it was appropriate for casual wear to formal wear. Now when I'm in a t-shirt and shorts my SMP is more appropriate.

Rolex is about being your OWN man. Remember all those ads with explorers and race car drivers?

Am I out of date or are there others like me? Thanks.

I agree. I am a bit older than you - I think the DJ is a great watch easily dressed up and easily worn casual - jeans and shorts. It is an all around great watch and you should get it if you can as part of your collection IMO.
