Possible Tapatalk vulnerability
Here's a learning moment that I hope will benefit all legitimate forum members.
I had an incident whereby someone requested to link their Tapatalk account to my Rolex Forum credentials. My first indication was an email from Tapatalk asking if I permit this user's ability to link to my Rolex Forum credentials. I immediately denied the request. I then proceeded to reset my password on all my watch forum accounts, and specifically with Tapatalk. I would advise a different password on Tapatalk. This is a learning moment that hopefully we can all learn from and get these scammers when this happens. So the moral of this story is to reset your passwords periodically. Yes, a hassle but a safeguard that will avoid possible problems. |
