18k Sub or GMT?

The holy grail for me has always been an 18k Sub and now I can see it on the horizon, the time is near to upgrade to 18k. The plan being, once I have the grail piece I can start expanding the collection.

It was the 5digit 18k Sub I had wanted all those years ago, but now I would really prefer a modern 6digit watch..so I'm looking at the 18k GMT also.

Whats the preference? I do like the blue dial, but the green dial GMT has me distracted.

Can we see some 18k sub/GMT pics and some opinions.. what one would (or do) you have?

Tough choice.... I’ve had both, and love both for different reasons. If you love both equally, I’d say get the complication you like more. Glide lock might be a consideration (wasn’t for me). Then look at color combo you like best. When it came down to choosing to have only one...it was fairly easy for me, as blue is my favorite color. Can’t go wrong either way...IMO. Great choice to have!

Just an opinion, I am not a fan of the green dial on the gold GMT. Now, that 6 digit sub with the blue dial, that's a stunner!

Both awesome pieces but I just prefer the blue sunburst, and that's the one I still have.

I think I'm leaning towards the GMT with green dial, it is just singing to me. I have been living with the blue dial (bluesy) for some time so the change to green may actually be welcome. I'd like to see one before committing though (which may be an issue, not many where I am).

Although probably more difficult to wear daily because of it's colour, I'd go for the GMT with green dial.

I love GMT models but if you're going PM, that blue sunburst dial with the blue ceramic bezel and yellow gold. WOOO this model is really nice!

It is a beautiful watch. That green dial changes colors a lot, depending on the lighting it’s in.

I never really liked the green dial gmt myself. I was between the 116618ln, 116618lb, 116718ln, or 116619lb. I went with this and couldn’t be happier. Love it

Hard call. I have the YG SubC LN and the YG GMTIIC green dial. I have zero regrets, but looking back, a YG SubC LB with the black dial YG GMTIIC with green date wheel is probably the best of all worlds!!
