SubC - Amazing Accuracy

I got an 116610LN from an AD recently - i actually got to open the shipping coffin it came in. What an experience!

Over two weeks, the watch has gained around half a second, measured against Emerald Sequoia App for iOS.

That's pretty amazing! Does anyone else have similar performance, right out of the box?

Yes. Rolex improved their regulation process. Caliber 3xxx movements have always been rather accurate. The improvement in regulation makes them seem better. Plus, owners are paying more attention to it thanks to the Internet. It gave Rolex a good excuse to get their regulation closer to zero.

These days you can send in a 5-digit reference and get it back from RSC holding great regulation. It's a win for everyone.

sounds great, my subc is not nearly as accurate, hovering about -2 per day

My 114060 runs -3 within the 24 hour Watch tracker app & my 2003 GMT Pepsi runs +5, overall I’m content with the accuracy on each. Congrats on your Sub date C.

I also have used Emerald Sequoia for years to track my watches. Mine is in the 1/2 second a week range. Actually both my LVc and DJII will cut the Rolex new standard in half.

SS SkyD blue now looks to be about +2 seconds in total during the past 9 days. She is worn 24 / 7 / 365

Wow, that is crazy good. My Sub C gains exactly 2 seconds a day. Which I am very pleased with.

Yes. I had an Omega Co-Axial 9300 that I thought was very accurate at +1.1s/day but the 116610LN surprised me with -0.2s/day. I never have to adjust it.

I bought a new 116610 LN in March and it is plus 8 secs in over 60 days.

Compared this to a reference computer clock.

Great watch.

Similar accuracy with a new 116710 BLNR. +9 secs in 41 days. Same reference clock.

In relative comparison have a 1999 Blue Sub. It is +6 secs/day. I bought this one used in 2016. As I as I know it has never been serviced.

I am thrilled to hear that many Rolex owners are getting great accuracy.

I was disappointed when I bought my first expensive watch - an Omega Seamaster (212.30.41.20.03.001) in blue. Some days it loses 6 seconds, some days 4, some days dead on - but in general, it loses at least 30 s/week. Annoying.

In case anyone is wondering, I wear my sub from 7AM - 7PM M-F. It sits face up on a desk when not worn. Weekend wear is sporadic. No other watches in rotation. I've tried to wear my Seamaster a few times, but i don't even get out of the bedroom before I am turning around to remove it and wear my SubC date instead!

Forgot to mention, I also have a new Omega Speedmaster Racing.

Despite all the talk about Omega being technically excellent this watch is 'only' +1.5 secs/day and it is COSC certified and still under that requirement I suppose so I am not griping too much.

Got a new Tag Heuer Calibre Carerra Calibre 1887 as birthday gift in 2016. This watch is +10 secs/day. Tag did a lousy job in regulating this watch out of the factory.

The new Rolexes are amazing relatively speaking, but nothing beats a quartz in accuracy. I have a Seiko quartz I bought new in 1999 and its +2 secs/year! Watch has never been serviced except for a new battery.
