SkyD white dial - UK

Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask to those of you who have bought a SkyD white dial in the U.K. since it’s release, what was the time frame you were looking at?

I’ve had my eye on this watch for a long time, but it’s size always made me think it would be too big for my wrist. After trying on a PM SkyD on holiday two weeks back, the case size didn’t seem an issue on my wrist, and my wife also gave the all important blessing!

I most likely wouldn’t be getting the watch till mid/end of next year. Would it be advisable to contact AD’s and get placed on a list or wait till I’m ready to buy incase i get the call earlier than expected?

Thanks for the advice!

all I know is WF offers below retail. IMO that is actually a good thing as its not being heavily flipped. Im betting sooner rather than later as to when your AD would actually call you.

I would reach out and tell them your time frame now though as that never hurts. Good Luck

Yeah I think I’ll do that at some point this week. Thank you once again!

That's a good sign from WF, means a wait should only be a few months at most. Are you foregoing the white OP and going for the big one?

Yeah the white OP was given a thumbs down from the wife after she saw pics of the white dial Sky Dweller. I was only on the fence about the SkyD because I hadn’t tried one on to see the thickness and size on my wrist. But it wore like my BLNR. Not too much bigger, for me anyways. She likes the watch a lot and so do I.

As Tyler mentioned I’ll pop into the AD at some point next week in London and just give them a heads up. Fingers crossed it all works out!

Lol I blame everyone who posts up pictures which look like they belong in an art gallery. Especially you and that rose gold 5711 beauty!!!

Sarosh have you seen the white dial reference in person yet? I ask because it seems it is the least favourite dial on this forum, or appears to be here.

Before seeing all the colours I liked the black over the blue over the white. However on trying them all on, my favourite was the white, then black then blue.

The white appeared more ivory to me but gave the cleanest look.

I have seen the white dial in person. Someone was wearing it on the tube. And I loved the slight ivory and simple look. Not the strong pure white of the Daytona or Datejust, just abit more subdued. I really liked it a lot.

yeah... they are still selling them over retail, but then again they sell an explorer II over retail too.

The buy offers being just below retail means they are only getting watches from people who have truly moved on and want something different, not pure flippers.

Well I think I’ll need to start visiting a few AD’s in and around London, anyone have any suggestions as to the best place to start?
