I'd save up and get both. Both have their problems. One is "too simple" or bland as you say but the other is the opposite.

You'll regret getting rid of that Explorer eventually and want something more conservative.

I prefer the Milgauss but then it is part of a fairly varied collection. If i had to opt for just one watch then I would pick the Explorer as I think it is more of an every day watch. If you can stretch to it then I would consider adding the Milgauss to your collection rather than swapping for your Explorer. I have seen the Explorer on sale at LHR but never the Z-Blue so fingers-crossed it works out ok for you. Good luck with your decision.

This has been great advice.

I didn’t take my Exp1 on holiday, wearing my old 34mm Airking instead (could have been a Zblue if they had one at Heathrow!)

Oddly, I now find myself more excited to put my explorer back on tomorrow morning, than I am to get a Milgauss. I am sill going to try on a zblue again, but I think it’s an itch that I can probably overcome. What I have decided is that I wouldn’t sell the explorer, so any new watch would simply be a case of adding variety, rather than a straight replacement.

Thanks all for the thoughts and tips
