Was in New Hope Pa this weekend and saw a husband and wife with matching platinum Daytonas. First time I ever saw one let alone two in the wild. I was very close and clearly saw the ice blue/brown combo. No mistake. The husband was father away, but looked like he had the same on. I was stunnned, I never saw one in the wild nor at an AD!

A guy walked into an Irish pub for a World Cup game wore a Patek 5167. Rolex is fairly common sight in my area.

I got on an airplane to Pittsburgh this evening with a man wearing a SS DJ with fluted bezel and blue dial. Love that blue dial!

In Vegas this week and have spotted several SS Subs and DJs, and also day date, on people's wrists so far. The dealers, on the other hand, have zero SS sport models... And I've been to a few...

In Maui now and they are everywhere. Local AD playing the same game as many buy a ladies DJ @ list and we can get u a BLNR, don’t do me any favors.

Saw a YG YMII today, these watches look so much better on the wrist then in a case.

I had a customer in my shop with a great looking 5-digit pepsi recently. Also another customer wearing a RG Daytona on a strap. I couldn't get a good enough look to see if it was oysterflex or the previous version leather. I see Sub's and DJ's all the time.

I work in the hospital so I don't see many watches but when I'm out and about in SoCal I've seen plenty of every so called "rare" pieces. But you name it I've seen it. Even saw the new full rose gold rootbeer on someone's wrist! What a thing of beauty it is!

In my part of the world, I’ve seen Daytonas, subs, lots of DJ’s, a few APROO, a 5711, 5167 and plenty of DD. Just not that rare a sighting!

I saw a 16570 polar dial in the grocery store the other day.

A guy at the playground was pushing his kid in the swing wearing a yellow gold skydweller.

And I see APs quite often.

I walked into a bar also, and saw a horse with a beautiful Red Sub on it’s hoof. I asked him why the long face...

Too aggressive - gotta go with the generic “nice watch” comment. I typically can’t start a convo via watch related.

Always makes me smile when I see anything regarding rare with Rolex watches today.Rolex started the single letter 6 numbers in 1987 because they ran out of number combinations. Now we have random serials again started because they ran out of single letter combinations.Rolex at one time was making 1000000 units a year now around 850000 so how can Rolex watches be rare they are mass produced and countless millions of them in this world today. Some are made in smaller numbers yes but rare no,not even the Daytona where there are hundreds for sale to those willing to pay crazy money for them. And while there are those willing to pay crazy prices, most of these so called new or rare watches will end up on the grey market.

Harder to acquire for a fair price* I understand the thought but it’s all perspective. Rolex and rare as a general do not mix BUT there are some models with “fewer” runs or variations that’s would be considered rarer or hard to get.

Funny part it Hublot makes a lot of “rare” pieces that are so rare no one wants them, I think that’s what makes Rolex so unique.

You´ve met Muzz?

The last rare watch I´ve seen in the wild was a RG 15202 in a hotel elevator during a business trip.

Hublot must be like the Chupacabra ... so rare

Rarest I’ve seen is a ice blue dial DD on a Doctors wrist at the hospital.

I was in Singapore this week. Saw a platinum Daytona in the airport lounge as I waited for my flight. Only the second one I have ever seen in the wild. The other was in the US on a flight worn by the passenger next to me. I commented on the watch and his stare immediately told me to mind my own business.
Also in Singapore this week, I saw what I am pretty sure was a Richard Mille in a restaurant. I don't know enough about the brand to quote models but I believe I have seen them in magazines enough that I can spot one in the wild.

Like the poster from Beverly Hills, I live in a place where exotics are everywhere (Boca Raton FL) and there are just too many to count.

This includes cars, watches, boats, jewelry and wives.

We have a Lange and FP Journe boutique and a jewelry store that has a vault with watches that start at $100k and climb from there. Patek, Mille, etc... and that’s just at Mizner Place.

Disney World (Orlando FL) was the DJ home from my watch spotting. Orlando in general is a big watch area besides the tourist.
I did see a young girl (15yr?) on the monorail that was wearing a new SS Daytona. Parents had DJ on.
