Buying Rolex watches in Japan

I was in Osaka the past few days and I found some used Rolex watches for sale on a lot of stores and the prices are relatively great. Has anyone had any experience on buying used Rolex watches from Osaka?

I saw tons as well on that main shopping drag. A lot of them I think have a good rep but when I went Jan 2017 the prices where not very competitive

I'm going to Osaka next month for a holiday, I will try to check out what they have on offer over there! :)

I imagine they will mostly be in pretty good nick in Japan. I used to live there for a few years, and was always impressed by how well people take care of their things - especially stuff that is 'collectible'. At the time for me it was cameras, particularly Leica cameras and the second hand market was always filled with well looked after models.

It'll be interesting to see how much the steel shortage has had an effect over there.

I have no experience buying in Osaka, but plenty purchasing in Tokyo. Japan is generally one of the better places to buy Rolexes as items are mostly in superb condition (or sellers will be explicit about what is wrong) and fake items are very, very rare. Selection has been great in the past, but don;t expect a lot of deals to be had. A lot of tourists from China flock to Japan as well to purchase...especially when the exchange rate favors them.
