Real or Fake Leather Band?
Hi all
New member and a first post. I bought a leather band for my rolex from ebay from a seller who seems reputable; seller name azz4343 on ebay; he sells a lot of replacement rolex parts and bands and has %100 positive feedback. I can't post the link to the item as I'm a fish here... I wanted to see if anyone can spot anything out of the ordinary, because it just doesn't feel real to me, I don't know... maybe Im being paranoid but it doesn't feel like a $400 alligator band; maybe I'd go to an AD one day and compare. I have pictures attached too. Thanks for your time. |

My experience has been that $400 straps almost never "feel" like $400 straps, because at first there's little difference between a $400 strap and an $50 strap. Where you see it is a year later, when the expensive strap is supple and the leather has picked up a nice glow, where the cheaper strap is just starting to look a little worn. And, of course, most $400 straps are exactly the same as $200 straps but with a brand name on them. $400 on a custom strap would get you much better quality than $400 on an official Rolex strap. |

no idea... real or not i hate when high end products have to use the word "genuine" alligator or leather or whatever. IMO its implied and having to clarify it cheapens it.
Its the same as stamping "Genuine Rolex" on the case back

The tighter grain at the holes end looks good to me.

Hard to tell from those photos but $400 dollars should buy an awesome strap
I bought 2 hirsch straps one leather and one antelope for a combined $150 and am very happy with both Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
