Incoming - my 2nd Rolex
Purchased from the great DavidSW.com.
It should arrive at my office tomorrow a.m. It is the Rolex I should have bought when I bought my first, a DJ II, to celebrate my 50th 3 years ago while visiting Vienna. I may now trade in the DJ II for something else, but super excited about this incoming. I have a thing for GMTs and this one is my favorite Rolex GMT. Not a grail by any stretch, but it is the understated yet big and bold Rolex I have pined after for years. SO EXCITED!! |

FIRST: Congrat´s on the purchase. SECOND: In my NON HUMBLE OPINION (NHO) (if an opinion is given, why does it need to be humble?), a grail , is a watch that actually ignites passion inside (like this one does for you). A grail shouldn't have to mean infinite zeros to the right hand side of a number.

It arrived on Friday and instantaneously became my favorite. Super comfortable and it makes me smile every time that I look at it. Sorry about the Rotation. That is not how the look in my Files. |

Congrats John! When I read your initial post I thought you might be sneaking in an Explorer II instead of a GMT Master II based on the vaguness of your post.
Don't be surprised if it ruins every other Rolex for you. The Explorer II is big but not too big; really it's the modern sized sports watch. Although it's big it's thin and wears amazingly comfortably. It is far and away my favorite modern Rolex. Wear it in good health! |
