US Patent Application US 2015/0307406 describes in detail how the Pepsi Bezel was made. Reading the text also gives clues to other developments. When using Copper or Selenium as a red colorant, one can achieve lovely reds. However, if something is "off" during the firing process (e.g., the atmosphere, a contaminant, incorrect percentages, etc.) one can produce a "liver" brown. I think "chocolate" is a lighter shade and infinitely more attractive as an adjective. I would be curious to see a side-by-side of the CHNR and Platona to compare the browns. To each their own. Remember to vote with your dollars. John |
