Patek vs Lange

Im so torn between these 2. I would like to get a patek 5140 but also in love with lange 1.

I've never been a fan of the 5140, so I'd go for the Lange without hesitation.

If you were thinking of, say, a 5396 (with blue dial or maybe the anthracite w/ breguet numerals) it'd be a more difficult choice :>

You could always get a less complicated Patek and still end up with an Annual Calendar Patek and Lange 1.

5140 is kind of a mess with the tiny “27” and “5” which Patek were forced to downsize when they expanded the subregisters but used the same movement. 3940 all the way.

Go Lange 1 and 3940 and you have the best of both.
