For the car guys/gals......what would you pick?

Just call and ask what the 15k mileage service is on both. I think that will make up your mind. That is why you see a lot of Ferrari's for sale at the 15k intervals.

Tough Decisions! For me I would say...

Just for Weekends = Ferrari
During the Week & Weekend = Porsche

I love Porsche, but in this case I'd maybe go F. Good Luck!

I love Ferrari's but the 360 and F430 are not the Italians I would own. The 360 requires an engine out service because it is chain driven. Known head gasket leaks every 15-20K and the dreaded sticky buttons most if not all pre 458 Ferrari's suffer. If you want a F-car the 458 and newer is heads and shoulders better in reliability, service costs and everyday driveability. I would save up for this as the entry level if I were to start heading into the F-car world. The 488 has maintenance covered for 7 years from Ferrari if that is saying anything...

Porsche does everything better then Ferrari except one thing. Ferrari evokes a differently emotion when you drive it. It's an event.

With that being said, I would take the 911 all day long if I was in your shoes. No hesitation about it.

Absolutely agree with the above!

There’s a certain feeling driving a Ferrari or even a Lamborghini but the overall reliability, visibility and usability make Porsche a primary choice for me. Get the others are a second or third vehicle.

360's have timing belts, not chains, and the belts can be changed with the engine in the car. Head gasket leaks? I'm not sure where you're getting your information but not correct. Sticky buttons, yes. Also an issue on Porsche's going way back to the 996's, and lots of BMW's.

My apologies I had them confused. The 360 are belt driven and that is why the maintenance is higher then the newer F430 or the newer F cars. The newer cars are chain driven.

My buddy has a black 360 spyder that just got completely done over where he owned it new till now. You really can't see any of the leaks underneath before it is too late because of all the aero parts underneath. Getting all the info from all the people who own them....

Thanks Wahlberg! It was a pleasure to own. I gave up on performance cars since I now live a long way from a track and I don’t like driving fast on the roads. So now I’ve gone more luxury focused, with a Range Rover Vogue and a Mercedes SL. I live by the coast now so got into water sports for my thrills instead.

Used 458 or this. Obvious which one I picked. Most of the 458s were already too old for my liking already. With sticky buttons and cosmetic wears. Nothing affecting the engines tho. If budget allows, definitely at least a f430.

Porsche aren’t my thing yet. I understand how amazing the 911s are but they’re too sleeper imo.
