My first Panerai

Just got this beauty a few days ago. PAM 00050. I love the look on the bracelet. I know not a traditional PAM look, but I do have a leather strap for it as well.

Welcome to the forums! Panerai makes an awesome stainless steel bracelet, and it does look good on that model. Don't see a lot of photos with the bracelet.

Cheers,
Carl

Thanks Carl! I love the bracelet. Super unique design to the links. And very easy to adjust size as well. Glad to be here.

Looks like the text on the dial of my PAM 720 disappeared!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks Erik. If it was not for the Vancouver Panerai Boutique, I may never have even owned a Panerai. For years, there were two ADs here in Vancouver who carried the brand. However, I they never had a model that I was really interested in. And I normally will not buy a watch unless I can see it in real life. When the Boutique opened, it was like a treasure trove for me. Starting with a 562 a few months ago, Luminor 8 Day Titanium with brown dial, which I still love. Now I have a collection of 5! Really the mainstay of my collection.

Thanks for asking. I just can't fit all my watches in my Signature section:

Luminor 8 Day Titanio 44mm PAM 562
Luminor 1950 3 Day Marina Militare Acciaio 47mm PAM 673
Radiomir 3 Day California Acciaio 47mm PAM 424
Radiomir 3 Day Acciaio 47mm PAM 720
Radiomir 3 Day Acciaio 47mm PAM 721

Total of 5. Love each and every one. The thing I find about Panerai more than any other brand I have owned, is that each one kind of becomes my favorite on any given day. Never any doubt whether or not I picked the right watch for that particular day. Hope that makes sense.

Cheers
Carl

Wow Carl—you have a little bit of everything and you captured the collection in less than a year—very impressive.

I apologise in advance for this unsolicited advice-/I would look at other options for the 720–mainly the 449. The reason is that the 720 and 721 dials are exactly the same—fine if you have ten PAMs but maybe a little redundant with five. With the 449, you can get the same exact case, plexi, movement and blue hands of the 720, but you get a different dial design. So it gives you a little more variety, and you can pick one up for pretty much the same price give or take. Just something to think about...in any event, big congrats on a great collection—I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for you!

I agree. The 449 is a wonderful option. After I got my 424, I was considering the 425 (I'm a sucker for the manned torpedo on the S.L.C. dial). It will be a while before I get another watch of any make or model, but the 425 or 449 are definitely a great attraction for me.

This was my first PAM many moons ago. It’s a versatile and beautiful example. Enjoy and welcome!

Luminor 1950 Marina Militare 3 Days - 2016 Special Edition Model - newly arrived:

This is the biggest watch I have ever owned. Thicker than the Radiomir 47mm and longer lugs. Nevertheless, very comfortable, none of the top heavy feeling I thought it might have. This really makes for a very special weekend. Hope you all have a great weekend as well!

Cheers,
Carl

Congrats Carl! This is a big surprise as I thought you were pulling the trigger on the 720! Great choice with the 673!! Enjoy and wear it well!

Interestingly, I thought the case size of the 721 and 673 is the same; obviously with the lugs being different...
