The 116710 LN

One of the things I always enjoyed about this forum is the pictures. In fact, it was the pictures helped me with my last purchase. So, for all those lurkers out there I present to you the 116710 LN.

My favorite aspects of this watch:

1. The platinum numbers on the GMT 24 hour bezel insert.
2. The hunter green GMT hand and the "GMT Master II" on the dial. Green being the signature color for Rolex and signifies 50th anniversary models.
3. The beautiful purplish-green AR coating on either side of the crystal for the superior cyclops viewing of the date.
4. The shiny PCLs. Yes I said the PCLs. Plus the satin brushed links on the rest of the sturdy oyster bracelet.
5. The spring loaded and solid clasp lock. Love that solid click with closure; always sure and trustworthy.
6. That great big crown and larger crown guards.
7. Finally the white gold indices, white gold hands, and blue lume of the black Maxi-dial. The entire dial and bezel of the watch is high contrast. It reminds me of a tuxedo.

Now the pictures:

116710 LN is one of the most beautiful Rolex, I bought two when it was introduced some 10 years ago, it's my most go to Rolex. Here it was at my daughter MD graduation few years back

I want my next Rolex to be a GMT, either the LN or BLNR. I do like the LN for its neutral colour scheme.

My LN gets the most wrist time out of the collection I have. I did change the bracelet out for a submariner one however. It’s a fabulous reference and one of the best Rolex make.

I would love the reference if it wasn't for the huge numbers on the bezel.

Agreed on all counts. Except mine has the green lume, but I'll live with it, as it kinda matches the green highlights.

The 116710 LN

Beautiful watch indeed, more versatile IMHO than new BLRO and BLNR and better priced !

An excellent choice! My first modern 6 digit reference and was always a stellar performer.

Congrats!
