The tale of the YachtMaster and the TT Submariner
GWell I need to start by saying the 16622 YachtMaster was a great watch and similarly comfortable, to me, as the Rolex Daytona. The YachtMaster always felt like I was putting on a glove. It just wrapped around my arm like a silk scarf on a blustery day. It had grace and style. Easy to dress up and down. The Platinum bezel was awesome to behold. The earlier models, mine being a 1999, came with the original Hammered Platinum dial and in the sun would sparkle like tiny diamonds. As mush as I liked it, I felt that it was missing a bit of brash and loudness that I like in all my things. Like my Radient Red Tacoma.
I have traded the YM for a 16613 TT Submariner, no holes case, and from what I understand is in exceptional condition. I haven't received it yet, but pix will soon follow by midweek. I did do the trade with a trusted seller here in TRF so the transaction should go as smooth as the YachtMaster that is currently on a flight to its new owner. Wanted to thank those here in TRF who, not only keep this place in tip top shape, but who have created a place where people can come and discuss and enjoy ones of mans greatest pastimes. Post pictures of yours here if you like.

Are you sure? You sure make a convincing case for the YM...
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the bluesy. But it sounds like you're going to miss the yachty. Oh well, congrats in advance...can't wait to see it. |

Yes I will miss it like I miss many things in life but at least I had the experience...
Also, what the YachtMaster did very well is blend luxury and sport. I want an exclusive sport watch and I want an all gold sport watch. Being semi retired I don't think I'll ever dress up so much that I need a leather strap, so sis gold it is. The nice thing about the TT sub is that I will have a chance to really aw if I like how it feels. If I like then I can move onto the Gold sub knowing I'll at least like the feel of the lighter sub
