...walking into a dark room and delay turning the lights on just to stare at the lume for a moment?

No. But I do look at my watch and appreciate the lume when I go from bright light to dimmer light.

I have, in fact I sometimes blast it under the lamp and then go brush my teeth in the dark and look at the lume to pass the time. Multitasker, me.
