Both great watches, can’t go wrong. I’ve had both at the same time...after a short honeymoon period with both....they become very similar.(if both black dial/bezel) My only question when making that decision, if I didn’t want both...will I use the date & gmt function...or have more use of a single complication of a timing bezel? For myself, if having to chose only one, I want the date/gmt over timing bezel.
PCL’s basically become a non factor after while. IMO

Sounds like you need a Submariner.

The sub sits a little higher on the wrist due to the larger case back. For me, that's makes it less comfortable than the gmt. I'd rec' trying one on before to dive in

That said, get what you want, but I wouldn't dream of parting with my LN gmt for a sub no date

The exact same thing happened to me. Sold the GMT and bought a no-date Sub. Haven’t thought about the GMT since.

If you feel the GMT has a less functions considering your movement, i feel you should go for what you really want after a well reasonable decision best to you.

If the polished center link bothers you then you can have it brushed professionally. That's what I'm thinking of doing with mine because the PCL's are driving me nuts some days.
