Thank you very much for the kind words. I try very hard to capture the BLRO's colors properly. So many photos make it look awful, as you know there is something up with how the ceramic interacts with digital lenses, never seen a watch that looks so great in person look so bad in (most) photographs.

Sorry for the delay! Thank you all for the congrats! I picked it up yesterday. Beware, the rest of this is long.
Day 1 Initial Reactions: I’m still a bit in shock looking down at my wrist and seeing the Pepsi sitting there on my wrist. When I got the call last week (I of course was out of town on vacation), I could hardly contain myself. Although I was thoroughly enjoying the vacation, a certain part of me wanted to pack up early and get home! Long story short, as soon as this watch came out, like many of you, I wanted it. My dad was a pilot in the Air Force and he bought a Pepsi GMT while at the AF Academy in 1967. That thing went through some trying times in both war and peace and I love the fact that he truly used it as a tool watch. Growing up, it was always on his wrist and I always loved it. It’s still ticking perfectly and I’m honored to be wearing the next generation of his watch on my wrist! In the summer of 2017, I walked into my AD with the intention of buying a black sub. That was right before the SS craze started so there were a few in the display case, including a Hulk. Out of morbid curiosity, I tried it on and instantly fell in love. Bam…my first Rolex! More importantly, that’s when I really established a good connection with my AD. He’s a great guy with a true and genuine love of watches. He has no interest in the gray market, and has no interest in selling watches to people that won’t wear them. Following Basel of this year, I told him I was interested in both the CHNR and the Pepsi; but I understood it would be a long road to get there. I won’t bore you with the details, but I am now a proud owner of both J. I will save the side by side comparison for another thread. I will say however, that they are both great watches…unique enough to justify having 2 GMTs. Day 1 Initial Reactions: I’ll start with the aesthetics. First off, “Rolex AD” lighting sucks. I don’t think any watch looks very good in the store. I actually prepared myself for this walking in as I didn’t want to be disappointed. When he presented the watch, I was elated. The look of it in the flesh is hard to explain. It’s definitely an attention grabber, but not gaudy. Before I made my initial judgements on the much-debated bezel colors, I asked if I could walk out of the store into the light. When I saw it in the natural light, I stated “check please!”. Gorgeous. Let me address the whole color thing. We all love Rolexes. The beauty of these watches is the chameleon-like attributes of the ceramic bezels. In certain lights, the blue on this watch takes on a deep navy color, while in other lights, it’s a very vibrant ocean blue. The red is the same. In certain lights, it takes on almost a blood red color, while in other lights, it’s much more vibrant. I honestly haven’t really seen the whole pink/purple blend yet, but I’ll keep looking. From a comfort perspective, I don’t think it can get any better than this watch. The blend of the weight, the slimmer lugs, and the bracelet makes the watch feel like it’s actually a natural part of your arm. Seriously, I can’t stress how comfortable this is. This watch is definitely my new daily. As for pictures, I will post them this evening. I meant to post yesterday but I didn’t have any time. You guys are hilarious! |

Do you think this is likely to happen? I ask because I've been told one more batch from my AD that may have my BLRO and hoping this is true! |

My AD mentioned one more shipment to be received before end of year. I'm sure different ADs receive different amount of shipments.
Crossing my fingers for my AD. |

Big congrats!
All the AD’s I’ve been to have lights that are more suited for diamonds (IMO) Glad you’re enjoying it! Now post some pics!
