Shiny ceramic insert

Good morning to all,I was wondering why Rolex choose to use that shiny black Rado tipe ceramic and not the black mate they use on Yacht-Master?!I believe it would look much more professional tool .And if Rolex would change it one day , what you guys think will happend with the current shiny references, gain or lose appreciation ?Personaly I can deal with the fat lugs but not with the shiny bezel .

I can't deal with the inexplicable lugs or needless slab case (housing a similar movement to previous sleek version). Shiny ceramic I'm neutral on. Matte would be okay with me too.

I tend to agree with you. That is one of the reason I really like my 116600. The last 40mm Sea Dweller. The minute marks on the bezel insert really cut the reflection making a lot less shiny. It also has the older style case. It's a perfect watch imho.

Agree 100%

Now here’s a thought on the 116610 Sub: Let’s start off by silhouetting the maxi case and adding back in those sexy Chamfers!

Next, Matte out the ceramic bezels the way LA Watch Werks has done for a few of the members here and BOOM! It looks amazingly sleek and sexy and rugged all all at the same time. The way a Sub should look!

Because it's not so much a tool as jewellery
