Hey Daren,

Could you please share some experience and knowledge about the Panerais?
I do like them very much even not having one (yet... )...(I will soon check it out on some AD to see how it looks on my wirst...What is a "must have" to a collector for example? If you could have just one Panerai, wich one would it be? Does it holds value? Those limited edition ones, what do you think?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Rto. To answer your question: I tried a PAM 113...and it came home with me! Once you try it on your wrist....well....you get the picture. It is an AWSOME watch.

The only brand that holds the resell value the same is Rolex, so that should sum up the bang for the buck. Couple that with the fact that they only produce 35K+- watches a year, not 800,000 and that shows you the exclusivity. As to what is the most sought after/popular that is a toughie. Sort of like Rolex, to each their own model. I have two autos a 24 Submersible and a 88 GMT. These are not "typical" Pannies since they have both the date feature and are auto.

The BASE models or the ones that are manual wind and with no seconds hands are the typical Panerai. That is what the brand was born with. That and the manual wind with the sub seconds hand at the 9 like the 111.

The best thing about Panerai is not only the watch but the community of owners. I will post up later tonight a watch box that I got in the mail today from a well known Paneristi. He gives out these gifts and they are pure beauties that he makes all by hand for other Paneristi as gifts. I also have a book coming that was a gift from another Paneristi.

And I haven't even started to mention the strap options, then the fun really begins.

As you can tell there is a bit of PASSION when talking about Panerai.

Gerardo is right on the money. I am not saying they are for everyone, no brand is, but if it grabs you it is hard to let go.

Its the new Pam 406

Only 2 of them out there,

made out of quidzillium and a special in house chinese movement

Only made 3 of them or may be 4

Check the for sale section

Depending on who you are
$1 or $10,000

Now they are $12,000

Oo now $30,000

Better be quick.

I could actually find out, I have a log of all my watches. I'll check it out when I get a second and let you know if I can find it.

It was a PAM 24 submersible. First submersible I ever owned. Damn, that was not easy to find out.
