I sold my V serial Daytona Black...
... to my brother-in-law.
Some of you will know that I got this recently in a crazy day that also saw me get the GV. These are the 2 grails in the UK (but probably not for much longer). Anyway, whilst the GV has been singing to me, the Daytona hadn't been. This was the watch I had chased for near on 7 years, but when I had it, it seemed small to me, esp. after my Deepsea purchase. Not sure if it was getting 2 watches at the same time, or the fact that buying 3 watches in a year was on my mind, but I knew that my BIL had been after one for some time also, so offered it to him at MSRP and he jumped. So that's my Daytona story over. Let's see if Basel '09 leads to a Daytona Anniversary with a bigger case - now that would whet my appetite and become the new grail! Merry Xmas all :-)

Hi
If it aint singing you would never look at in the same light. I have one like that and to be honest it dosen't set my world on fire but it was my first. Sooooo it stays and like you a bigger case would work for me! We should start the queue now Hope to hear from you in the new year Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year Si |

Thanks guys,
I'm happy now that its moved on. Having so much cash tied up in something that wasn't singing was a trifle worrying! At least the whole Daytona "thing" is out of my system now. But what will I ask for when visiting ADs in the future?! My BIL is over the moon - I think he may be getting me a present now! :-)
