Is this scratched digit concerning?

I can't tell if the serial is intentionally scratched or could this possibly just happen from normal use. If you saw a watch like this, would you be concerned?

Obviously not cool. If there are no papers matching the balance of the serial it’s a pass. The first couple letters of stainless are also not kosher.

Looks very much by design, intentional. Run.

The "STA" is not as concerning to me. These older models weren't all that perfect under magnification as they were engraved by hand. Good feedback on the scratched digit though. That was my gut but I had never seen something like that before so I thought I'd get another opinion since I tend to be very cautious. I'll be rejecting this one. Thanks, guys!

No way did that scratching occur normally.

Deception at work.

Those are definitely tool marks. That was done on purpose imo.

Don’t walk away. Run away.

I would bet that if you could have Rolex run that SN that it would come back stolen. That looks like a cover up. And I don’t know what else you would be covering up??

Never seen anything like this even on the oldest most tattered model... definitely a sad cover up... the movement would still have an engraved number that can be traced...
