Have to wind my watch once a month due to work rotation.....

I work a rotational shift schedule and will end up having to wind my watch once every month from a dead stop.

My gut tells me this is no big deal but wanted to see what’s TRF’s opinion was. Is that frequent enough to warrant a winder or should I just let it die and wind it.....

126660 Deep blue for reference.

No big deal at all, my Sub gets little wear time and I just wind and set it when necessary.

Some members say you should keep it on a winder, to keep the internals lubricated.

Others say wind it manually to avoid any unessacary wear and tear.

I personally don’t use my winder, and quite enjoy winding each watch manually.

I also enjoy winding and setting my watch. I wear mine daily, but I went to Hawaii with the little kiddos (pool, slides, beach etc) this week and decided to leave the DJ41 at home. Too dangerous.

But when I got home, there it was, lounging, waiting to be fondled. Now we're reunited and reacquainted.

Good times.

I wind when I set the time to wear them. I rotate and each watch see the wrist at least once a month.
