Hello All,

Recently acquired a 26400so and have noticed the running seconds hands will ‘hang’ for a second or two, then catch up.

Timing is +6 per day.

If I run the chrono hand, small running seconds appears to fix itself.

Thoughts?

Never had this problem. Does the running-seconds hand always “hang up” in the same place on its sub-dial? Have you tried giving the watch a full, manual wind?

How old/what year is your watch? Do you have the service history?
Perhaps it might need some re-oiling done and a full service.

The watch was sold in 2015.

It also visited APSC in May this year for a full service (with the previous owner)

There is no consistency with where it will skip or stall, however typically between 5-35sec.

However the hand never looses any time, so will catch up if it stalls momentarily.

It does not seem to improve or decline depending on power reserve.

It will instantly improve once the chrono is engaged.

I am glad to hear it was serviced this year! that means there is still warranty on the service work they performed, and you can bring up the issue at ur local AD and hopefully have the APSC check it out and rectify it.

I had the same problem with my TT Oysterquartz so I stuck a new battery in it.

Boy, those two screws are tiny.

I've had this happen to one of my ROOC, the previous owner didn't wear the watch for over 2 years and the chronograph was rarely run, so oil dryed up.

Take it to AP and see if it needs a service.
