What NOT to wear when a Rolex is on your wrist?

I thought this would be a fun topic for you guys. wanted to know your opinion about clothing you shouldn't wear when having a Rolex on.

Is anything off limits? is shorts and a t-shirt acceptable with a Rolex on your wrist? or is a Rolex only doable with a suit and tie in your opinion? would love to hear your thoughts

now that the holidays are over I'm going to put my watch back into the safe so I'm on my way to the bank with my YMII on my wrist wearing a Hoodie and Jean's and I admit I feel like I shouldn't be wearing it right now lol

Honestly I’m not sure whether to take this as tongue in cheek or not.

There may be more or less sporty models which fit better with certain attire.

I wouldn’t wear a leather strap Cellini to the beach for example.

But just because it’s a Rolex - that doesn’t make any difference.

Clothes should be worn when wearing a Rolex, but I will sometimes even ignore that rule.
Seriously, it's a watch wear what you like with it.

I will dress casual, dress or formal with any watch in my collection.

There are some that fit in one category more than another - but it doesn't matter to me.... There's no one size fits all answers here IMHO.

I will wear a 120k Patek with basketball shorts and a 20 year old Iron Maiden shirt with holes and mustard stains with Adidas flip flops.

Same here, except make that an Iron Maiden shirt with the sleeves torn off and blood stains, with my 50K Patek.

Haha. Gangster! This is exactly how it should be. Who the hell cares what you wear with your watch? As long as you are content with your choice of clothing mixed with your preference for a watch then that’s all that should matter.

Why put it back in the safe? It’s a beautiful watch, might as well wear the heck out of it

I think it makes it better. I have gone into shops wearing flip flops and a Megadeth hoodie with say my Rolex 718 and they have to take it seriously.

Well, in South Florida it isn't the safest place (from the stories I've heard anyway) to wear a Rolex Daily. Couple of my friends got robbed of their watches (one guy at an ATM, another while fishing on a pier) and they wasn't even relatively at "bad" locations. So many people vacation to Florida that commit crimes and go back to wherever they came so there's a less chance of catching them it's just not worth it. I usually wear my watch for holidays or when I'm going on a nice date somewhere fancy. After that it's back into the safe

I would not wear a Rolex ball cap with a Rolex.

I’d get that ball cap back to the vault before slipping on a watch.

I wear my daytona with jeans, t shirt and trainers every day.
I ride a scooter in to work. I dress how i want to dress and wear a watch i want to wear.
In this age, be happy, be comfortable and enjoy your watch.

It was the Thatcher / yuppie years where they said ‘dress for the job you want, not the job you have’.

I wear mine everywhere with everything, except the gym. I can't enjoy it locked in a bank vault!

Hmmmm. Not so sure. I live in East Fort Lauderdale and every swinging dick has a PM Rolex. Nobody cares. Totally safe to wear whatever you want. I personally wear a PM sub with flip flops and a BMW Cap + shorts just about every day. Nobody notices my watch. I’ve been asked one time by a fellow WIS at a sub sandwich shop of all places about my watch. Don’t believe the South FL thing for even a second.

Beauty of a sport Rolex is they can be worn with pretty much anything. I keep mine on walking around the house in my underwear.

If it's insured you have nothing to worry about.

Digging all the WIS death metal fans. I have a sweet collection of death metal sleeveless tees. You will find me frequently wearing Rolex with casual attire.

The only thing I would NOT wear with a Rolex on my wrist is...

Another Rolex. It just wouldn’t look right.

Otherwise, I have no restrictions or limits.

Well I am sorry you don't believe it.

I've definitely been asked by very shady people "is that a Rolex" very late at night at a gas station for example. (call me careless for forgetting to put gas during the day, it happens)

few more stories I have but since you won't believe them I don't wanna waste my time or yours.
