SIHH 2019: CODE 11.59 Live Pics and Honest Point of View>>>>>>

If it was AP’s aim to upstage the Rolex, Omega, etc. showcases at Basel, they succeeded. 4 new, designed from the ground up, movements is impressive.

The Code collection is like a separate brand methinks.

I actually like the new line and think after some time it will become a hit. I’m obviously in the minority but I will be getting one and absolutely think that once more people have a chance to try them on and see them in person it will change perception. I suppose time will tell but they will definitely play with dials and complications in the years ahead.

From the exterior, it looks like a dressy BP fifty fathom. Personal impression is one of confusion and lack of any excitement for me.

What points of view have been dishonest?

It appears you don't quite understand what honesty means. You are claiming people who haven't liked the watches based on a review of pictures and videos rather than handling the watches physically are being dishonest (i.e. lying) about their opinions on the watches. That's just a ludicrous, inflammatory assertion.

One can easily have an honest opinion about a watch without having handled it. For example, I haven't held the watches in my hands but rest assured I'm not lying when I find the watches to be fatally flawed because their date windows are lazily placed at 4:30; the dials are anodyne at best (and look like mall watches at worst); and the name of the collection is so embarrassingly bad that I wouldn't buy one just so I could avoid telling a friend I'm wearing a "CODE 11.59 by Audemars Piguet".
Thanks for explaining what honesty means. Also, I'm curious to know how long have you been collecting AP and how many APs have you owned or own?

This link contains perhaps the most honest review of Code 11.59. The reviewer is totally negative about Code 11.59. From the 5:55 mark of the review, he is even critical about the watch case (dust trap) and the curved sapphire glass (optical illusion):

I like them. I think with time they will become more popular. I’m at odds, with everyone else as I like the white 3 hand. Of course I have not seen them in person.

They need to build a mainstream watch, the royals oak is too polarizing for some people. I think they succeeded.

Absolutely you need to see them in person. Only way you can judge them properly.
