If I'm not allowed to keep the money, then I'd buy a 5 digit Explorer II Polar and Pepsi GMT.

If I have to spend it all on one watch, then I'd wait for the price to drop on the new Pepsi GMT and snag that.

If I have to spend it now on one watch, then I suppose I'd buy a JC Deepsea or maybe a Batman.

I think the CHNR TT is a beautiful watch. Given how recent of a release it is, I can't imagine you getting any kind of discount on it even if it's TT. I don't think that will always be the case...but you need to ask yourself how bad do you want it? You could pay retail today to enjoy it and forget about it losing a bit of value (relative to what you paid for it) down the road. Or you can wait it out hoping that the price becomes more flexible some time in the future (uncertainty). Is the potential, incremental savings by going with the latter option really worth it? If you answer yes, my guess is you don't really want the watch that bad. Btw - my logic here only applies to paying retail for the watch.
True, buying this one at Retail might be oke to me for sure) Losing a bit wont hurt, but depreciation like on tt sub's and other gmt's and daytona are more than just a bit.. Now, i think this watch is different considering the bezel and considering that this one ''jumps out'' more than the other models.. Now i find it stupid that this watch on the greymarket goes for about the same pricepoint as a BLNR and LV anyway but oke current market is just strange is my guess

Batman and a round lady's of pleasure would be doable with 15k ain't it?

I think I'd spend it on a nice holiday. Certainly not on any contemporary Rolex.

I have a SubC. So with 15k a DJ or OP and either a GMT or Speedmaster.

I'd snag the black AND white dial 5-digit ref EXPLORER II's! Would make a nice pair. Maybe their younger sibling, the Explorer 1, if I had some $$$ leftover.

For one watch... hmm. Maybe something white gold. I think I could snag a time-only Lange 1815 for that.

£15K is a tough number for Rolex, a lot more than most SS sports but not going to get into PM. SkyD is a great choice but getting one isn't easy - to say the least. I'm not really a TT fan so although that rules out most watches in this range for me, perhaps not for you. The CHNR is a great choice. Another TT I like is the YM with chocolate dial, these are probably the only two I'd seriously consider, though maybe I'd add the TT Sub LN to the list.

Others under your budget are the SD43 or the DSSD. Of the two I'd choose the SD43 (and did) as I think the DSSD is just too thick. If you're up for two watches, maybe a SS DJ41 and a GMT LN, neither easy to get but not nearly as difficult as many others.

I'm struggling (not the right word) with a similar budget. I'd like to get a DD which will require nearly doubling my current savings. Alternatively I'm considering a DJ41 for me and getting my wife her first Rolex. She isn't a watch person though, not sure how excited she'd be about it, thus my hesitation.

Good luck with the hunt and post pictures when you acquire it!

With the current climate for Rolex sport models and the very high praise for the CHNR, I don’t see that being discounted for many years (no sooner than a Pepsi or Daytona is).

It’s kind of a perfect storm kind of watch......

I’ve already given an reply, but I’d strongly consider a 1016 Explorer over the 16570 and 14060M that I mentioned earlier.

♛- Yet to be determined, but a white 16520 is on the short list. (I believe that I'll be able to read it better than my old 116520)

Exactly this. As a proud owner of a y serial 16570 I would happily trade up to an r or l serial 1016 with bracelet. That’s where I’d be looking if I had $15k lying around

Yachtmaster Blue dial. I’d spend the $4,000.00 leftover on a vacation to Maui with the wifey!
