Icon20 Help to identify my Rolex

Hi,
I have been handed down a Ladies 9ct Gold Rolex watch from my mother, I am trying to identify what model it is a value would be nice too.
It was bought in 1963 in Leeds UK for £32 and came with a black suede strap this was later replaced by Rolex for a gold one of which I have the reciept from Rolex, I have the original sale bill, outer box, service bill for £170 and original instruction book which says in it 4045 17107 (maybe the serial No)
It is unmarked, it has an hallmark near the winder, and on the face says Rolex and precision.
I have enclosed photos of it and hope that someone can help me identify it.
Thanks
Christine

Hi,
That is in beautiful condition.
One of the nicest dials have have seen on one of these ladies watches.
Because they are dress watches and not waterproof the dials are more often than not aged.

I think the 4045 number is the model number, but unfortunately there is not a lot of information available on Rolex Dress watches like yours and the gents equivalents as they are not highly collectable, but usually when another number is added to the guarantee like that it is the bracelet/strap number.
It is too short for a Rolex serial number of that time.

As to value as a private sale I'd put it between £550 and £650, but in that condition and with all the bits maybe you could push for a bit more.
In a dealers I'd say they would price it somewhere between £1000/£1100.

It is a lovely watch and should grace your wrist.

It may be on the inside of the case back I'm not entirely sure sorry.
It is not really relevant as it is only a crude way of aging a watch and as you have the receipt you don't really need it.

If the watch was serviced by Rolex the serial number should be on the service paperwork.

Would agree afraid ladies Rolex cocktail type watches don't fetch a lot of money especially 9kt gold £400 to £600 on a good day.The 17107 could be the serial but having service papers could push the price up a little.Like Mark said the difference between selling and buying retail is quite a lot, retail would be in the region of £850 to £950.
