File size/dimensions...

I'm going to give up on trying to get the "Before's" uploaded. I can't get the file size small enough (max of 293k) and still have the resulting photos large enough for it to be of any worth for detailed comparison. I guess you'll just have to trust me that there was grain on the lugs before sending it to Mark. Let me know what you think of the crystal.

Thanks again.

Boy, oh boy. I now see all my duplicate posts. My apologies for that and the loads of typos. Funny how I pride myself on my writing and here I come off a buffoon. Serves me right for bringing it all up in the first place, I suppose. Take care, everyone.

When you have few posts (something like less than ten), each post needs to be cleared by a Mod first. Seems like quite a few of your posts got caught up in this (quite necessary) complication

Complicate this further by being upset at the time of posting - and well, it is what it is

Odd

You've been a member since 2014 but you didn't do a search here before sending it to him? I feel bad for you and wish you get it fixed right.

Omega Failure

I sent him several watches, lastly an Omega with Eta movement. It came back with debris inside the crystal and running 10 seconds slow. It also would not wind up fully (reverser wheel). He said he was not capable to repair the watch and parts (Eta?) were not available. He would not, however, refund my money. I think he is dumping a lot of his work on his son, who seems not to be capable. Or maybe neither one of them are capable.
I finally took it to a local San Diego CW21 and it's running 0s/d. Costly experience though. Never again for him.

Do add the after photos just so we can know how bad this schmoe is. Thanks for the heads up and I am sorry he took your watch backwards.

Sorry this has happened. I can say that watchmakers are human and do make mistakes for certain. Heck everyone does.

Mark has had a great reputation for a long time. If this was my watch I would give him the chance to make it right.

Hahaha did you even read the post you linked? It seems you might have a little ineptitude in doing that correctly. I only read the first 4 of them and there was nothing negative except someone had to pay for shipping and thought it was included in the price, and Mark did not have a pressure tester over 100m.

It only shows your actual comment lacked substance.

The Guy doesn’t have a Rolex Parts Account and the OP said the magnification was off...It’s a aftermarket EBay special.

Ahhh, ok

Acrylic crystals dont have LEC and older sapphires dont have LEC.

All work done in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

You do not need a parts account to get an authentic crystal. You can get them about anywhere. On older watches they are even harder to find so sometimes you do have to get them from ebay.

The op has never responded again. I would not jump to a conclusion that the magnification was off without evidence.

Simply incorrect
Rolex only supply to their own service centers and approved repairers.
Who have to account for each one.

My comment is correct. Some approved repairs due sell parts. That is a fact. I buy them regularly.

Any genuine rolex crystal would have a genuine LEC at 6 o clock

You stated "Any genuine rolex crystal would have a genuine LEC at 6 o clock". I said that is "not true". Like you commented above this did not start until 2002. So that was not a true comment.

Not talking sapphire. It’s plexi for a 1603. Hard to put an LEC on plexi without Melting it. Lol

The acrylic crystals found on 1675s don’t have LEC if it was applied i believe it would melt the crystal, mine was replaced at the Abu Dhabi RSC and it doesn’t have it. So not all official Rolex crystals have LEC. Unless you are saying that a RSC would use fake parts.
