How to wear watch with long sleeves?
I always wear watch which fits under the cuff and pretty much hides it unless I move my arm to see the time. But more and more I've been seeing everyone pretty much wears watch at the bottom of the wrist and even rolling up the sleeve a bit so that watch is visible all the time. I'm sure that's the point - to show your watch always but it never occurred to me.
So, how are we supposed to wear the watch? So if someone clicks a pic when you are standing still, is the watch needs to show or not? |

There is no "supposed to". Wear a watch how you want.
If it's important to you to have it slide under your shirt, wear small watches. |

When Sean Connery wore a sport watch in the 1962 James Bond movie Dr No, it gave men the go ahead to wear any watch they wanted with a Tux and a suit.
Much like Clark Gable didn't wear an undershirt in 1934, It Happened One Night and the undershirt business tanked. Men still beat their wives but they didn't necessarily wear a wife beater. |

if you can't see it at all from your under your shirt cuff when you bring up your arm, your shirt is too long. Really
I see so many people with sleeves way too long. Its even worse when someone is wearing a sports jacket and a t shirt and i can't see the watch poking out. way way too long.

My BBR is thick as hell - and doesn't fit under my french cuffs. Thought about getting larger cuffs - but decided that my next watch will be thinner

I wear my watches above the wrist bone and snug enough so that they don't slip down on my wrist. They are under the cuff on any long sleeve shirt I wear. The watch may become visible when I'm doing a presentation or public speaking but not by design.

Right watch with the right outfit. Under sleeve when I’m walking and the watch will show if I’m sitting down.

OP I suspect that the wearer of the watch in your photo was sponsoring the watch, hence the cuffs were arranged that way to maximize visibility of the time piece during the event, as in fact that photo demonstrates

I just googled that image to project my point. Like around work or lunches I see that people wear watches at the bottom of sleeves so they show it off. I see lot of people doing that and hence the post.

As one who started high school at 5'9" and ended high school at 6'4" I've always erred on the too long side. Can't stand exposed ankles and wrists.

I use to wear my jeans so that sitting down the pant legs still made contact with my shoes. It looked sloppy in retrospect.

Dress shirts, on the other hand, have always been an issue with me. I prefer cuffs to meet my wrist with elbows bent. I've gone the custom route before but seems like they always shrink eventually. dP

Nope! Completely wrong! You should put on the watch before your shirt

That's like putting on your shoes before your pants which is quite common when fleeing a married woman's boudoir when her husband comes home. |

How to wear watch with long sleeves?
^^^ this But if you must wear one on your wrist with long sleeves for business, make it a slim 34-36mm model and keep it above ulna-wrist joint. For casual/working/etc., it doesn’t really matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Forget his name now, but the boss of Fiat Italy used to wear his Rolex Day Date over his shirt cuffs!
