Yep, I’ve seen people invest a lot of time in getting a Seiko 5, or Miyota movement to that level too. It doesn’t happen consistently, at scale, or for many decades, though.

You seem to have become quite jaded lately, padi. Not everyone who buys PM watches only wants jewelry. Not every Rolex buyer is trying to capitalize on the price frenzy.
