The Divergence: Chrono24, DSSD prices and reality

Dear Forum Friends,
I request assistance with a specific point of interest. As per the title, the issue I require some assistance with is the Chrono24 reported value of the 116660 (DSSD) (as of his moment something like $16,200 AUD which is around $11,000 USD) versus it's "actual" value (maybe $11k AUD).

OK so price is from chrono24 at may 19th 2019 and my estimate of "actual" value is based on following:
1. i recently offered to sell it to a grey in the states - they offered me $7k usd.
2. i myself bought it for 9k USD or $13k AUD in late January of this year
3. i saw a DSSD 116660 languish at 10.5k AUD on ebay in Feb 2019 (i'm not sure it even sold but i do think that data is spiked by the fact most don't want to buy an expensive watch on ebay and legitimacy concerns etc)
4. i don't see dssd's on offer in local grey's for more than 14k.

i think generally we expect chrono24 to be high re: prices. but surely this is especially off.

some photos to focus our minds. note the smurf's chrono24 value is not even close to twice what i was offered for it. also the price i paid is very close to the chrono24 price. and i bought the smurf in the same month as the dssd so this has some revelance.

the ap chrono24 price is quite different to what i was offered. i figure there aren't alot of AP 15400ST white dials and so people on chrono24 offer a high price and see how they go. but the dssd? more common i would think. much more.

This thread is a little confusing as you are using sometimes USD, sometimes AUD and sometimes both. Sorry, might be worth editing those so they are all just in USD to make it easier for everyone to follow.

Chrono24 is known to be above market price, even their lowest prices are higher than final ones.
You can negotiate, it will drop.
Ultimately they are businessmen, they will buy low and sell high, if they see you are serious price will drop.
Good luck.

Dealers are not going to pay retail or close to it...them offering half or a little over half what you paid us probably normal, they are there to make themselves rich not you...

7K US is a serious lowball offer on the DSSD.
