16610LV insert question

Hello all, I rarely post here but I quietly read and learn from all you amazing Rolex fanatics and I have one issue that I could use some help on. I purchased a Rolex 16610LV insert from a friend of mine that was used on a franken watch and the insert was purchased new before installation. I have heard and read that there are a few variations of inserts on these LV’s and I’m curious if anyone can pick out which one this is using the photos.

Thanks in advance for your help and this is not an intent to sell, I may consider selling the insert in the future but as of now I’m just looking for information. Thank you

Post a clear photo showing the entire dial and bezel. This will help clarify what insert you have.

What series is your LV? Should help narrow down production year.

Appears to be a B4 bezel insert.

The dial appears to be a MK6. This would date this watch in the D-Z serial range (2005-2006). This is just a guide though as Rolex basically takes what parts are at top of the parts bin and assemble the watch. So there maybe some overlap with the different dial and bezel variations.

That's quite a large colour difference in the bezels.

Which of these is the most popular shade. I prefer the B5

B1 and B2 are the most popular because they are worth 5-10K more.

Shade is very subjective of course but based on anecdotal evidence I would say the darker green colors are more popular. I know one poster here who loves the more neon look though. I am sure there are others.

I didn't have the luxury of choice when I was when I was shopping for an LV insert a few years ago, and I ended up with the Lime Green B3. Mine doesn't seem quite as yellow as it looks in that picture, but I appreciate the color variance from the other 4 options. They're not as rare as the Fat 4s, but they still sell for $500 when they pop up on ebay.

It's a lesser known secret that these bezels will fit the 16710 as well.

Cannot believe the internet hype generated over a LV flat four font, even exchange LV inserts from Rolex are flat four font, but a slightly different colour green which can be easily changed by artificial means.

For real? I was once ready to part about $4K to get a B3! If you are right, I should be more careful of whether the B3 is genuine or altered...

You can count me as one of the neon/lime green fans. I love the look of that B3 insert against the black dial!
