Here in New Zealand, I have only ever seen a couple of Subs in the last year or so - and one of them was a fake!

I was in Singapore recently though, and one particular evening on the MRT I saw dozens in an hour.

Lots of folks that I'm around have Subs and Sky Dwellers. On a daily basis I see more more Subs and Dwellers than DDs or DJs.

I am still looking, yet to see a Sub on someone's wrist. In fact, I don’t see that many Rolexes at all. 😜

I was a professional bike mechanic for years and never made enough to buy a Sub. Times have changed I guess.

That watch would get pretty banged up and scratched within the first hour, of a real day at work, for bike mechanic.

That last photo explains clearly the scarcity problem.

Where I live I rarely see another Sub other than the one on my wrist. Hardly even see a Rolex at all in the wild around here.

This past weekend I went 45 minutes north to an upscale shopping mall and spotted 4 SubC dates in Lululemon, 5 if you included the one on my wrist.

It all depends where you live and where you hang out.

When I see someone wearing a SubC, I automatically assume it is fake. Most of them are.

That's one of the many reasons I prefer 4 and 5 digit references, not many "good" fakes out there so they get more respect.

How often to do you actually see a Submariner on someone’s wrist ?
You need to speak to this guy, he sees them everywhere.

I think if you live in a big city, and work in the financial or shopping center of that city, and use the tube then even seeing 2 or even 5 Rolexes or Subs a day is not considered a lot.

Sub is so iconic that its owned by many non WIS.
It could be a good thing but also bad. Too me its too common and would rather have something different. However, I am not knocking on Subs.
