Crazy Daytona prices at Sothebys auction today

Did you see two newer but worn stainless Daytonas sold today for $27,500 a piece! Crazy.

Adding to my previous post about buyer's premium: That means the winning bid would have been $22,000. Still, it will cost him (or her) $27,500 to walk out with the watch.

I'm not surprised. Daytona will ALWAYS surpassed all current models... If a Batman, Hulk , GMT, Submariner go for 20K, you can bet Daytona will be much higher and leading the pack.

Someone blew nearly $30,000 and didn't even do his homework on grey pricing ..
