Will RSC do this?

I have a datejust 1162233 two tone with a black dial with markers
and a fluted bezel. If I send the watch in to RSC for a maintenance service and ask them to change the fluted bezel to a dome bezel and a black dial with markers to a white dial with roman numberal would they do it?

I read that RSC will not modify the watch if it ended up to be an upgrade but what if my request is not an upgrade but just a change in the look?

Will RSC do it?

Dan

Well the best way to find out is ask them,IMHO as long as you use Rolex parts. Then you should be able to have what you like as long as it does not effect or hinder normal routine service.

I would suggest calling RSC and speak to customer service. Call Dallas, first. IMO, they are more accomodating than NYC. My best guews is that they would probably change the dial, but not the bezel because it's a completely different model number (116203s 116233).

Have no idea what you mean by "upgrade"...

However, as Tim said.... It's unlikely that they would change the bezel because then the model number wouldn't match the configuration..

Dials are changed all the time so long as it's to a dial that the watch could have come with originally.

They will

Yes they will change it.

Gold bezel stays gold bezel, dial with YG markers stays also like that.

Yes they'll change it but won't come cheap and parts will be replaced and not given back.

They will not change it. And if you send it to them they will refit a new fluted bezel and keep your domed as it doesn't match the model number. That was told to me directly from Dallas RSC.

I don't believe the RSC will make either change. As others have said, by changing the bezel, the model number will no longer be 'valid'. Also, from experience, the RSC is very specific when it comes to switching dials and staying in the same 'class' of dial....the roman dial is not in the same 'class' as the baton dial. I'm sure they'd let you switch to another color baton dial, but not a roman dial.

they will only change items that match the model number. so fluted to smooth bezel nope. But you can easliy get done after market.

Dallas RSC told me they would not change the dial color on an Explorer 2, but maybe it depends on the year and model.

Goes to show you, take all answers on internet forums with a grain of salt....espeically if a decade old.
