A lovely watch and a nice write-up.

Don’t worry about the lack of a Geneva seal - only watches made in the canton of Geneva are eligible. AP is at Le Brassus in the canton of Vaud.

Thank you for the review. The watch is not for me and I think in the end, AP will have launched the least appealing line-up of new watches for this century so far. You have quite the collection and as soon as the newness wears off I wonder how it will stack up against some of the heavy hitters you own. But none of that matters, it is how you like the watch. Enjoy.

That watch does nothing for me. It looks very bland imo. The dial, case, bezel, etc are really underwhelming. I still find it hard to believe AP released this line

Yeah, there are plenty of threads for those opinions. But OP’s opinion as an owner holds court in this particular thread.

Given OP’s watch collection, an 8.5 is pretty impressive!

It’s marvelous especially on the grey strap. I cannot get over how comfortable and unique it is. Still not photogenic but it’s jet black in some lights.

This was growing on me but (no offense) it looks terrible in these photos. Especially the one in your box along side your other pieces. I can imagine it looks great in person but hard to get that from these photos.

No offense taken. It’s a horrible watch in pics and I am terrible at taking pics

Trying to debate. If this is better looking or the P-01? Lol

I joke btw. The p-01 is uglier

I’m confident that AP will listen to dial concerns as they do pay attention to what collectors want. The case design is my favourite aspect of the Code line and I think there will be some cool options to come in the future.

Nice Swatch!

But seriously, great collection.
Looking forward to seeing a Code in person.
No ADs in the bay area.

Great to hear you enjoy it. I find it hard to look at it without laughing out loud thinking of its sticker price vs the looks but who cares, we are have different tastes. Thanks for writing the review!

Code 11.59 - Owner perspective after 2 weeks

It occurred to me months ago that AP has quite a history of releasing models that are initially panned that later become runaway hits/classics.

It will be interesting to see how the Code series fares.

I know it’s growing on me...

Good write up. The watch isn’t for everyone, but at least they can be found at the AD.

Wrong. They can’t be found at any ADs - this is the boutique only product.
