3 SS Rolex in 1 month.

Hello everyone I just wanted to share my story in hopes it cheers up the mood a little bit.
This all starts on 5th of June when I get a call to pick up my hulk after being on the list for a year and a half (signed up on January 2018) and no need to say what happened next I rushed to the AD to pick it up

The moment I had it on my wrist I fell in love! The wait was totally worth it and I couldn't be any happier with this purchase (keep in mind I put my name down for the hulk and the JC deepsea which I received within a month of being on the list so I was not expecting to get the call at all specially with the current market)
Now I have caught the Rolex bug I want more! With some research I decided to seek the Submariner ND, I loved the way the dail looks and felt like it would make sense to get it instead of the black submariner with date as it's too similar to the hulk.
So I put my name on it but given that I was just given the hulk and I have no previous purchase history with the AD other than a JC deepsea purchased which is still a sought after model so I don't have my hopes up for anytime soon.
So I was on a 2 weeks trip and I went to every AD I can pass by and sat down with them and had a chat and expressed my interest in the ND obviously none had one ready to sell but they all were happy with my passion and promised to try their best to allocate one for me this year (that's 3 ADs).
The day before my trip ends and to be exact on June 27th I received a message from one of the AD's that I spoke to a week ago saying that I am going to like what the has to show me (at this moment I expected a DJ 41 on jubilee or something) and he sends me this!

I dropped everything and drove immediately to pick ot up!

And oh boy I wasn't disappointed with this beauty the clean dail puts a smile on my face! While talking to the SA he said that they just received one today and they had no regular clinets waiting for one so he remembered the chat we had about watches and he felt that I should have it cause he wanted to sell it to someone passionate about watches.
Now this brings us to the last part of my story in a short period of time I acquired two SS Rolex pieces but I still want more! This led me to the GMT line which I always wanted one but never tried to so looking at the current market a pepsi or a batman seems impossible without any strong relationships so I had my eyes on the black GMT which is discontinued so I expressed my interest to a friend of mine who is WIS as me and he said the knew a dealer who might be able to allocate one for me in a great condition but obviously with a premium (at this moment I felt that it's justified to pay the premium given what I managed to get at MSRP) so I agreed and on July 5th just one month after receiving my hulk I get a message that the dealer has one slight used with no signs of wear and not polished at a great price (below the current market price from all dealers) and we can go and check it out today but I have to pick it up today or he will put up for sale a bit higher than what he's offering us now (my friend knows him well and purchase often from him that's why we are getting a good price now, I guess grey's relationship works too ) So obviously we went and saw it and boy oh boy I couldn't stop myself from getting it, it was the perfect condition slightly used like new for a perfect price so I didn't hesitate for a moment and got it.

So at the end of my long post as you can see I managed to get the 3 models I wanted one with a wait, one with luck, and finally one at a premium so I hope this brings someone's hopes up that they can still get what they want if they try hard and never give up!

Finally a picture with my new trio

Triple congratulations

I truly believe there are AD’s who believe in selling to folks who are passionate about their watches. Well done

Do you have any other watches in your collection? How do you decide when/what to where?

Thanks! and yes there are still some good AD's but you have start somewhere I guess because I think asking for a Daytona as a first watch won't get you anywhere.

That's a superb 3 watch collection. I think the Hulk and the 116710LN would be two of my perfect three watch collection. Congratulations!
