Set your date to the 30th of the month and the time to 11.55 pm.

Now watch it closely as it approaches midnight and you'll notice the date wheel will spin twice and end up on 32.

At precisely the same time as this happens magnetism will travel to the crown and weld it shut.

Do not try to force the crown as it now has to be sent in to Rolex in Switzerland like Peter said above.

Of course as you all probably understand (and I say that lightly) if it ends up on 31 that means there's nothing wrong with your watch.

Hope this helps and please let me know your results.

Well according to one member on forum it must be true, as he posted it was a fact, and he thinks he is a very knowledgeable guy.

But to those who have a little knowledge about mechanical watches would know this is complete and utter nonsense and not possible.

Peter, I agree with you but if you follow my tip above and it stops on 32 then he's right.

If it stopped on 32 I would believe he was right too.

Your incessant lies on this topic are becoming dangerous to other members. If you take the watch to an AD in Toronto, you are getting a completely different set of papers and a guarantee that is with them only rather than an international green card warranty.

How Long for RSC Toronto

But fwiw I have been able to un-seize magnetically seized crowns on my own workbench with a good pair of Rolex pliers. One must first pre-soak with unicorn tears.

I sent my sub to Rolex Toronto about 3 years ago. The AD called me after I sent it to just let me know it will be a little longer than usual . It was about 2 months . The work was fantastic . My ad told me usually it's about 5-6 weeks . I'm going to send it their again in the future . Two thumbs up

I am not satisfied with this service delay. 6 to 8 weeks is 2 months! It was maybe acceptable in 1978, just like ordering from the Sears catalog was still considered efficient. But not anymore. They should have more than service center in Canada, especially since they are so loose on quality control at the swiss shop. Just the amount of people on this forum who had to send back a watch for lint, dust, misaligned dials, bad paint or lume means that if we are just a small sample of rolex owners there is a tremendous amount of warranty repairs to do. Just add regular services after all this. Time for Rolex to do something to shorten this delay.
