Rolex Explorer II Black Dial Ref: 216570
I am contemplating for my next purchase. This is not another case of FOMO and this watch has great history. The floating hands are nice. It looks big on the wrist but comfortable.

Its a great watch and seriously underrated on here. There’ll be a renaissance of all ExpII’s when the ceramic is launched.

I've had the black dial for years....everything else comes and goes and it gets by far the most wrist time. You won't regret it!

Super torn over here between black and white deal, currently leaning toward white though. I'm even considering selling or trading my blnr to get one

It’s been my daily for 5 years. Love it and it’s very low key not flashy at all which is what I wanted.

If you like it, I say get it. What other references are you considering other than the Explorer II?

Reference 326934 Reference 116500LN I know. I know. It is almost next to impossible to get these timepieces since I am not a big spender in any particular AD. A serendipitous circumstance may lead of me seeing these in real life! ⌚️ |

I'm a fan of mine. I rotate it with a couple of GMT's and as much as they're my favorite model of Rolex, I still seem to wear the black dial ExII more than the others. It's a great watch that doesn't scream Rolex. Love the brushed bracelet. It's the perfect casual/activity watch.

I have this reference, and absolutely adore it! It’s my leisure watch for sure. Sooo comfortable and slim! BTW not many of these references in black for sale on the forums I wonder why???

Let’s make a tool watch with the same material as ones dinner plate. No thanks. That would make the day they went from a tool watch to jewelry. No functional improvement for the ceramic. And spare me about the scratches. I have yet to see a bezel that not like 30 years old so scratched its illegible. Not to mention would only cost like 60 bucks to replace.

If you like it’s history, and at the same time prefer less bulk/size on your wrist, perhaps consider the 5-digit version? Anything 1999 onward had luminova so you’d have same functionality and a 20 year jump of getting towards historical vintage territory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The EXP 2 is such an underrated sport watch. Whether it be black or polar, the dial is beautiful and very legible. Perfect for daily use or special occasions.
Although i have the polar, I wouldn’t mind getting a black dial with floating hands in the future! The brushed center links only adds to it’s appeal as a daily timepiece.. sporty yet still elegant! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Get it!!! It’s a great watch. I found it difficult to choose between the black and white but since my other watches have black dials, I went with the polar. Good luck!

I own the polar, will likely own the black version someday as well. I've passed on the black dial twice already, however, it's a great piece in its own right. Unlike the polar there are a lot of darker NATO strap options that would work better with the black dial, so you could have some fun with it.
