New summer look for the WG BLRO

Hey all! Decided to try putting my WG Pepsi GMT on a black RubberB strap. A bit sad letting that awesome WG bracelet sit in the safe but I must say that it’s a very cool look. Completely changes the feel of the watch to a cross between GMT and Yachtmaster on Oysterflex. Anyway, here are some pics, and enjoy the summer!

RubberB makes a 40K watch look like a sub-10k watch...

Not exactly complimentary but each to their own, it’ll certainly be lighter on the wrist now.

That's different. Your watch was on a strap to begin with. It's just a strap change for you.

WG BLRO needs the WG oyster bracelet.

I know LOL, cut the OP some slack! I think we can all agree that bracelet is always the first choice but nothing wrong with switching it up sometimes!

Looks nice. But better (IMO), if used on the Rubber B that is made for deployment clasps. And would show more metal looking as if from factory.

Sorry, like another post stated, looks like a 10K watch from 40K. Something about the black kills it. Maybe another color.

I like experimenting with different bands or bracelets on my BLRO as well. So far only a denim band was looking acceptable. Others look too flat or thin in comparison to the oyster bracelet.

Imo the watch looks better with either a blue or red rubber strap as I’ve seen others post. Rubber is a good change of pace I’m sure though

Black clashes with the Pepsi IMHO. If you like it that's all that matters

I prefer Rolex bracelets however I suppose its ok if it's your only Rolex and you are trying to avoid stretching out and damaging the bracelet.

Wouldn't be my first choice but it's always fun to change up the look once in a while.

I like it. I don't know that the photo does it justice, but I like rubber straps a lot even though I don't like Rubber Bs.

That said the number of people in here being high and mighty about how someone decides to wear their watch is weird. He's not hurting anyone. And clearly also not trying to show off, unlike someone who INSISTS on wearing their watch on the stock bracelet so that it's more obvious it's a 40k watch. I can't roll my eyes hard enough at that.

Hey, you’re not wrong haha! Maybe a $26K watch if you’re being generous...

It comes standard on the (WG) Oyster bracelet, and no, not really any difference in comfort. Both are very comfortable, was mainly changing up the look.

I actually agree with this, but didn’t want to deal with cutting the strap so went with tang buckle. If the strap had fixed lengths like the RubberB for the Sub I would probably have gone that route.

Interesting perspective thanks! Personally I think the black rubber matches well with the black dial. On the blue dial a blue strap might have worked better.

I don’t mind the bracelet getting some tough love, just felt like changing up the look a bit. Will go back to the bracelet after feeling this one out a bit :)

Yep it’s hard to beat the bracelet but variety is the spice of life!
BTW love the look of RubberB on the Nautilus!

I like changing straps too depending on the mood. I prefer leather black/brown and yes, sometimes RubberB. It gives some kind of personal distinction.

I also do the same for my cars. I change the wheels/tires from stock for the same reason

To each his own.

Sorry but I have to totally agree. I placed my wg Daytona on rubber b and thought was cool at first but then started to feel cheap imo.

Some people like it some people don’t. Different opinions will be posted. That’s what a forum is all about and that’s what makes it fun. Don’t roll your eye too hard..

Oh no issues here. It is fun, and we all need a thick skin, but unnecessarily testing it doesn't make much sense to me. Don't mistake my democracy for concern.

Using the tang buckle means it’s quite top heavy. Since I wear the watch snug it doesn’t move around but if I wore it looser it might. The strap model which uses the deployant clasp could be more balanced but I haven’t tried that one.
