Basel Rumors!
These are honest to Gosh Rumors that I heard about what's being released at Basel.... Ok, so maybe I started these rumors... but I like them nonetheless!
1. White Gold GMT (Why don't they have one now anyway? ) 2. Platinum GMT (If they can do it for the yachttie, why not the GMT?) 3. Platinum Daytona (See above) 4. Daytona with a Date..... PFFFFFFT!!! oh gosh... I know.. I know.. but at least we can have the rumor... 5. Price drop on all Rolex models.... ... Ok, now I'm really getting carried away..... I guess that's enough dreaming.... but seriously, not to take anything away from the yacht master, but if they can offer that model in Platinum, why not their iconic models like the Sub and GMT? and the Daytona. Same goes for a WG GMT? . I am not a marketing genious, but I don't understand the rationale sometimes... |

Not Rolex, but in my opinion, F.P. Journe makes the best bang for buck platinum watch in the Chronometre Souverain.... around US27K.

True....saw one the other day at one of my AD's for NZ$117,000 - it was diamond studded around the bezel with some on the lugs as well.
Actually looked very beautiful!!

To hell with all the predictions and conjectures.
Why can't we just have a Super Datejust in 41 mm on a Special Super Jubilee bracelet, WG Fluted bezel, WG Romans prancing around Snow White dial and a stunning RED/BLACK date wheel!!!

I'll settle for an updated bracelet on the Explorer since it will be my next purchase. A polar version would be the cherry on top... but I'm not holding my breath.
